   Platt Gardens was built by the Union Pacific Railroad in 1927 and was named after Howard Platt who managed the Oregon Short Line Railroad. It's the home of the iconic Boise Train Depot and has stood directly overlooking the Idaho State Capitol for almost 100 years.
